Poor LinkedIn Profile Strength Just Starting? We can help you quickly improve your LinkedIn profile strength
There are plenty of different things that you can do to help yourself build a business. Some of them are cost and labor intensive. There are, though, others that are far simpler and cost effective and you can do them in your spare time. Social media, for example, is something that every business (online or off) needs to work with if they want to grow their profits. Obviously social media involves more than Facebook and Twitter. One of the better social media portals that you can participate in if you want to build or even expand your business is LinkedIn. If you want professional social media, LinkedIn is the network for you. If you want to use LinkedIn to build your success, here are a few techniques you can try.
Meeting new people on LinkedIn is a little trickier than on many other social networks. On Facebook, for example, you can easily offer to become someone’s friend with one click. On LinkedIn you can’t even communicate with someone unless you have someone in common who makes the introduction. But there are loopholes regarding that allow you to circumvent this. LinkedIn allows you to join open groups, so find a group that the person you’re interested in connecting with is also a member of. Get involved in threads that the person is active on. You can invite the other person to connect with you once you’ve become a little acquainted this way. You can put your profile into LinkedIn just like a resume. Unlike a typical resume, you don’t have to be as brief as you normally have to be when doing resumes online. With a regular, hard copy, resume you want to keep the entire document less than one page in length. When you have a LinkedIn profile, you can use a little bit more detail if you want to. You need to put your copywriting skills into action. Skills are definitely necessary (like painting art) when it comes to moving services and products. You can market yourself through profiles which, again, takes a certain amount of skill. If you aren’t sure what you are doing, hire a copywriter to help you out.
Choose a custom URL for your profile. This is something that you can do with pretty much every one of the social media systems. Make sure you choose one that relates to your business. It should also match the URL you are using for the other social media portals, if you can do so. Give it some thought. Aren’t you more likely to take a website seriously if it has a URL of its own instead of simply tacking on a user name to a free site domain. Why shouldn’t you use the same logic for LinkedIn? LinkedIn gives you many ways to promote your business, starting with your profile. Finding leads and contacts on LinkedIn can be accomplished in a variety of ways. Although the above guidelines can be very helpful, you don’t have to stop there. Since LinkedIn is still growing fast, you can be sure that the possibilities it offers will only expand over time.
